A Post About Sports?

Today was the Saturday that we haven't had in months, maybe years. We had nothing planned, not even errands to run. It's been an awesome, long, leisurely day. We did leave the house for the parade that the city was hosting for the Pearland Little League who recently returned from the Little League World Series. We guessed exactly what the parade would be like -the players in pick-up trucks plus a fire truck- and we were exactly right, but we knew Rush would enjoy it.

I wanted to go and wave to all the kids as a thank you for giving our little suburb a reason to rally. I mean, I watched some of the Little League World Series on tv. I don't watch any sports on tv and barely pay attention if I'm at an actual sporting event. What better way to mark September 11 then by watching a parade for a bunch of little league players and waving to firemen? That's America.

So the parade was short and sweet, we had coupons for free Chick-fil-a, and then spent the rest of the day relaxing at home. I moved my sewing machine to the kitchen table and set up shop, Rush played with everything he could find downstairs, and Trent has been watching football for the last 9 hours. Literally. He hung one picture, fixed the gate at the bottom of the stairs, and played with Rush, but through it all college football has been on tv. At this point in the evening he has moved some tools from the garage into the living room so he can practice using a router without missing any of the game. Fall is here.

  2. This picture looks like it was taken by the paparazzi. You look like a famous person with a small child and a baby in the oven! Totally awesome photo! Frameable.
